Wow - It's been about a month since I have updated here! Time goes by fast! We have been swallowed up by football and volleyball seasons around here - not to mention the school work! Whew!
Last night was Halloween and it was so fun! I had this big blow up costume that made me look REALLY fat that said "JUMBO PLUMBING" on it, so I went as "Joe the Plumber!" I know, not the most creative thing and I know this guy has been beat up in the media, but I couldn't resist.

My son wore this costume last year, so 45 minutes before Trick or Treating, I went into our attic (Yikes!) and pulled it down. Wow - it still blew up! Couldn't believe the batteries were still working for this thing.

So, I put it on, turned it on and within 30 seconds I was transformed into a very fat plumber! It even has the "butt crack" showing in the back of the costume pants. Nice.

My younger kids thought it was great, but my 12 year old was on the border of being embarrassed so I made sure to do just that!!

My husband dressed like an 80s headbanger!! He had the long hair wig, ripped up jeans - you get the picture. He, of cours, lived it up and walked around like a rocker would walk...you know, that cocky strut that goes with having a big head. It was great!

Now, it's Saturday and we have tons of candy here at the house. I've been dipping into the Trix and Milk Duds, but know I shouldn't, but hey - no one is looking!! Just one more....

What day is this?

It feels like Sunday. We didn't have school today (teacher work day or something like that) and my kids were home. Felt like a lazy Sunday. Grocery store, playmates and then WHAM...it hits....football practice, gymnastics, dinner to cook, etc. Well - it felt like a Sunday for most of the day. That's a good thing!

Now, the week will be totally messed up in my head. Tomorrow will feel like a Monday and I will be one day off all week - I promise!

Cold and Flu seaon around the corner!

Got our flu shots...have you? Went to the doctor a couple days ago and two of my kids got the "mist" - which is a flu nasal spray. Thank God for that mist thing or my 7 year old would have a total meltdown if the word "shot" was within 10 feet of her!

My son, poor guy, had to get the shot. Since he has asthma, the mist would not be the best protection from him. So, I played the "brave mom" and went first on the shot. Truth be known - I HATE shots! I am a scared little chicken, but I could have won an Academy Award with how I acted that day. "See? No big deal!" I say with a brave face. I'm such a cool mom. And - it hurt, let me tell ya!

With all the colds and stomach yuck going around, I am taking my nutritional vitamins daily (all-natural ones that are made for women's bodies). Did you know that the thing most found on the bottom of septic tanks is multi-vitamins? Sorry -didn't mean to gross you out! But - you do need to know that what you are taking is really doing what it's supposed to be doing! (Your vitamins should be dissolving in your system within 30 minutes for optimal effect - did you know that?)

I kind of thought that any ol' vitamin is ok - just as long as I was taking a vitamin, I was doing good! But, after starting my home based marketing business with these all-natural products, I learned what really vitamins do and why they are important. And, I feel SO much better when I take them.

So, between the flu shot and my vitamins, I should hopefully be sailing through this "cold and flu" season without any sick days. Plus - moms can't be sick. Are you kidding me? Who would take them to football, gymnastics, cheerleading, volleyball., not to mention having some sort of a meal?

Today is my son's 10th b-day, so let me end this by saying how much I love that little guy. Truly a joy in my life!

Heard of Twittermoms?

Sooooo.... I was clicking around on someone's twitter page and found Twittermoms. Joined in some groups and voila! I have a new set of women who share the same interests, humor and kid struggles and joys. Pretty cool! Check it out if you have never heard of it.

There is a group about blogging. I probably should join that one since I'm new to this world and need to learn more about how to connect with others by blogging!

Also - I joined facebook. That is really fun and a total time sucker- how do people have time to blog/facebook/myspace/twitter, etc all day? I barely have time to check my email! I have connected with some high school/college friends because of facebook! Really great to hear what they are up to!

I see the value of connecting with others. Sharing what you believe in, hearing others opinions and beliefs, learning new things, teaching others what you know.....it's a big circle!

Is it really Fall?

I've pulled down some fall decorations. I just can't pull ALL of them down yet - it's still 90* outside. Until the weather feels more like Fall, I just can't see pumpkins around my house.

In a bit, I'm off to get a MUCH needed haircut. I have a sassy little cut that I like very much, but I think I may even go a bit shorter.

I saw a friend at a party recently who had a similar cut and it was pretty short - I may be bold and go for it. We will see what happens when I sit down in the chair and he has the scissors in his hand! One thing is that he thinks my hair is very healthy - never have split ends or "build-up"! I owe all of that to my "healthy" shampoo that I use. Never will I use "Suave" or something like that again since I've been using this.

Having "writers block" now.....until next time.

Internet Marketing - what is it?

Here I go....trying to learn this Internet world and getting overwhelmed by the "I've got the greatest way to do it" blogs and websites out there. I've decided to go simple to begin with by getting on the social networking sites out there.

The advice I got from a family member who lives and breathes Internet marketing is to get on twitter, facebook and create a blog - that is how you start. Get your name out there - that is the name of the game.

Go find blogs of others who you find interesting and start chatting on their blogs. You may make new friends along the way!

So, now I'm going to look on line for blogs of people who want to live a healthier lifestyle! Maybe I will find you out there!

Start of the work week....
Its Sunday evening and tomorrow starts the work week. Some get the "Sunday blues", but for me - I am looking forward to tomorrow. Why? Because I can do what I love and be at home with my business that I work INTO my life instead of around it. I like what I do , but I love being able to stay home to do it.I got a call tonight from a woman who is desperately needing Gluten-free items. In a book from her doctor, my business was a highly recommended because of the pure products it offers. She was THRILLED to have a choice in her skin care and cosmetics that wouldn't adversely affect her skin. I was glad I could help - I couldn't imagine being so limited in what I can eat and put on my body. God is good to me.About to sit down with a glass of wine to watch "Mad Men"with my hubby. We are addicted to that show and thank goodness for DVR or we'd never see it!Until tomorrow!
